Harajuku Princess (Star Trek XI, Gaila)

Written for where_no_woman's drabble challenge #18: Gaila, Tokyo. As always, a fragment from my own memories. This time from Tokyo and preserved by TOKIO's Sorafune.

Title: Harajuku Princess
Character: Gaila
Fandom: Star Trek XI
Rating: PG

Harajuku Princess
by Renata Lord
(snowlight)

Making herself comfortable in the huge silicon arm-chair, the thirteen-year-old Orion girl is quite pleased with the new fake Federation ID technology. This time around, she didn't even have to use the "we Orions age differently from you Terrans" line that usually gets her into all those hot Shibuya clubs at night.

On the other hand, this is Harajuku, so it's hard to tell if the owner of the place just didn't want to turn down a customer. Nothing is too strange here, and everybody has a price. Even so, she is in love with the fact that she can walk under the golden sun, looking all pretty in the green skin and her treasured retro-20th-century Japanese schoolgirl uniform, and nobody would give her a look that she doesn't like. Every girl is a princess in Harajuku, provided they have the money or wear the right shade of lipstick that accentuates their eyes.

The tattoo master compliments her on her skin before the procedure begins, asking if he could take a picture of the work once it's done. "I'm gonna frame that picture and hang it up right at the entrance, all big and nice, so everybody's gonna see how pretty you are."

She twirls her red locks on one hand, giggling madly.

"Awww, I don't know, sensei. Can I get the tattoo for free, then?"

He laughs with her at that and sets to work. The design is simple enough—the seven main points of the Orion constellation, each for a year she still needs to spend on Earth before she can return to all the stars.

Awwww, I love it! That's really awesomely sweet. Gailaaaa. There needs to be more written about her, yes.
Yeah, I don't know if you read my Orion sex/relationship advice column fic Love, Gaila, but for a while I was thinking of doing a mini series on that. I love the Academy setting, too.
Oh, I definitely did!!! I loved it. You should write more from it, I agree :3
*giggles*

Aw, that's cute. Love it!
Love, love, love.
Awww!! That was entirely too sweet. ^___^ *loves*
Oooh, very nice. I love the idea of Gaila dreaming about the stars. :)
Cute and a little bit naughty. This is how I imagine teenaged Gaila on Earth.
